Acer palmatum 'Jerre Schwartz' is a robust and reliable dwarf variety. A beautiful, finely dissected leaf that emerges each spring with a distinct pink flush, before becoming bronze-green and then green. In autumn, they change colours to a vibrant red.
'Jerre Schwartz' has an upright habit reaching 1.5 m in height and 1 m spread.
Should be grown in moist but well-drained soil. Leaf colour is best in partial shade but the full sun can be tolerated.
Like all Maples, this one is very easy to maintain. It doesn't require any pruning routine. Remove any dead or damaged branches. The best time to prune is the late autumn or winter when the plant is fully dormant.
In spring you may add a top dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser or organic matter around the base of the plant.
