Acer shirasawanum 'Autumn Moon'

A stunning small tree or big shrub also known as 'Autumn Moon Maple'.

Leaves appear pumpkin green in spring and develop a pink halo in summer. In autumn the foliage is stunning with peach, pink and flame red on the same leaf. Each leaf carries up to eleven lobes. A rounded to broadly spreading, upright habit.

Plant in full sun or partial shade. The most striking colours are seen when planted in full sun. It grows to a maximum 3m x 3m in height. Hardy. Vigorous and easy to grow.

As with most maples, very little pruning is required. If required, this should be carried out in the dormant season, then only removing the dead, diseased or crossing branches.
