Acer palmatum 'Linearilobum' is a unique cultivar with long deeply divided fine bamboo-like leaves. The foliage is deep green turning lovely bright yellow in the autumn. It is a medium-size compact tree. A perfect plant for a small garden.
The tree can reach 4 m high and 3 m spread.
Should be grown in moist but well-drained soil. Leaf colour is best in partial shade but the full sun can be tolerated.
Like all Maples, this one is very easy to maintain. It doesn't require any pruning routine. Remove any dead or damaged branches. The best time to prune is the late autumn or winter when the plant is fully dormant.
In spring you may add a top dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser or organic matter around the base of the plant.
