Acer palmatum 'Going Green' has fresh green foliage that turns yellow-orange in autumn. The bright green coloured stems, which stand out in Winter add to the beauty of this selection. A small tree with an upright habit.
A robust Maple.
It can reach 2m x 1.5m
Should be grown in moist but well-drained soil. Leaf colour is best in partial shade but the full sun can be tolerated.
Like all Maples, this one is very easy to maintain. It doesn't require any pruning routine. Remove any dead or damaged branches. The best time to prune is the late autumn or winter when the plant is fully dormant.
In spring you may add a top dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser or organic matter around the base of the plant.
