Acer palmatum Diss. 'Crimson Queen'

Acer palmatum Diss.'Crimson Princess'

Acer palmatum Diss. 'Crimson Queen'

A deciduous tree of upright weeping habit. The finely cut leaves are deep purple-red in the spring. They turn bronze in the summer, followed by brilliant crimson-scarlet in the autumn.

The height and spread of Acer palmatum 'Crimson Princess' will reach only 2.5 m x 2.5 m in 20 years.

Garden Care:

Should be grown in moist but well-drained soil. Leaf colour is best in partial shade but the full sun can be tolerated.

Like all Maples, this one is very easy to maintain. It doesn't require any pruning routine. Remove any dead or damaged branches. The best time to prune is the late autumn or winter when the plant is fully dormant.

In spring you may add a top dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser or organic matter around the base of the plant.
