Acer palmatum 'Berry Broom'
Acer palmatum 'Berry Broom' is a lovely densely branched cultivar with bright green foliage spring colour that matures to dark green in summer. In autumn leaves turn golden yellow.
This variety grows to 3 m high and 2 m spread.
Garden Care:
Should be grown in moist but well-drained soil. Leaf colour is best in partial shade but the full sun can be tolerated.
Like all Maples, this one is very easy to maintain. It doesn't require any pruning routine. Remove any dead or damaged branches. The best time to prune is the late autumn or winter when the plant is fully dormant.
In spring you may add a top dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser or organic matter around the base of the plant.
