Acer palmatum 'Anne Irene'
Acer palmatum 'Anne Irene' is a pretty slow-growing, upright tree with distinct bright lime green leaves with a yellowish tone in the summer. Leaf margins have a bright red colour. The foliage turns yellow-orange in autumn.
This Japanese Maple will reach 3m of height and spread after 10-20 years.
Garden Care:
Should be grown in moist but well-drained soil. Leaf colour is best in partial shade but the full sun can be tolerated.
Like all Maples, this one is very easy to maintain. It doesn't require any pruning routine. Remove any dead or damaged branches. The best time to prune is the late autumn or winter when the plant is fully dormant.
In spring you may add a top dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser or organic matter around the base of the plant.
