Sieboldianum can be a small tree or a large shrub. A slow grower with a narrow, upright form when young. This broadens to a rounded form with age. Pale yellow corymbs of flowers appear in late spring. Foliage is green in spring, turning orange and red in autumn. Autumn also sees pairs of winged seeds. Colour does best in full sun or light shade. Leaves are finely toothed.
Although fully hardy, it will benefit from protection in a sheltered spot. Branches develop in layers, giving a dense appearance.
Will reach 9m x 5.5m. Will thrive in most soil types.
