A compact variety with the close-packed arrangement of the leaves. The bright green foliage is quite crinkled. The autumn colour is a beautiful combination of gold with rose and crimson tones.
A unique cultivar.
This slow-growing plant can eventually reach 6 m in height.
Should be grown in moist but well-drained soil. Leaf colour is best in partial shade but the full sun can be tolerated.
Like all Maples, this one is very easy to maintain. It doesn't require any pruning routine. Remove any dead or damaged branches. The best time to prune is the late autumn or winter when the plant is fully dormant.
In spring you may add a top dressing of a multi-purpose fertiliser or organic matter around the base of the plant.
